Attorney Brett Busch Wins Appeal and Gets Disability Benefits for Client

At Busch Law Offices, we recently reached a major victory in a Social Security Disability (SSD) case that lasted for four years. This favorable case result was obtained by Brett Busch, who is one of our firm's skilled Loveland Social Security Disability lawyers. In the case, Attorney Brett won an appeal of an SSD claim denial and successfully secured benefits for the client.

The client filed a claim for SSD benefits in the fall of 2010, but she was denied. The claimant hired Attorney Busch to represent her in her hearing. Attorney Busch and his client had a strong and well-supported claim; however, they ended up having their case heard by a difficult and inexperienced judge, and they ended up losing the hearing in August 2012. Attorney Busch and his client then appealed the decision to the Appeals Council that fall. Their appeal was successful and the case was sent back to Social Security for a second hearing. Mr. Busch provided the new judge with new evidence and medical expert opinion, which ultimately led to a fully favorable decision without the second hearing even being needed.

Due to this successful appeal and reconsideration, Attorney Busch's client will now get benefits that are retroactive to August 2010, as well as retroactive Medicare benefits. We estimate that the client will be receiving four times the amount of the average retroactive benefit award. After a four-year struggle, the claimant in this case finally gets the benefits she rightfully deserved all this time.

Have you been unfairly denied SSD benefits? If so, our legal team at Busch Law Offices can help you file an appeal and take steps to prove your eligibility.
